A Walk in the Park

About a month ago, I got a new lens for my camera, and boy has it been a game changer. I’ve been able to control the lighting in my pictures a lot better, and it also lets me get that nice, dreamy background blur. That being said, there is definitely a learning curve with using this thing and some of my pictures are out of focus in all the wrong places! I kept a few of the blurry ones because in some cases the blur added a nice effect — even when I was the thing that got blurry. Let’s just agree to pretend I did it on purpose!

Most of my clothes are still in boxes, and I am slowly but surely running out of interesting outfits to put together. The good news? It’s forcing me to be creative. Also, I recently bought two pretty maternity dresses, so you can look forward to seeing those over the next couple weeks!

You’ve already seen this skirt before (in this post), but I decided to change it up with a different colored top (also seen here). I also added a necklace that I bought in Missoula this past week to make things more interesting. My hair is re-entering another mullet stage — growing out pixie cuts is the worst — so I pinned back the shorter layers with some bobby pins for a sort of messy half-up ‘do.

It has been really smokey lately, so I haven’t been able to get outside much. This evening was lovely, however, and not too hot either. As the weather starts to cool and fall grows ever nearer, I’m hoping for more evenings like this one — just perfect for taking a walk in the park.
