I’m Erin and this is my blog, Clothed in Sunlight. In its truest form, Clothed in Sunlight is an adventure blog. It covers travel, of course, because every adventurer wants to see the world. But it also discusses good books (because books transport us to worlds that aren’t our own), tea (because sometimes you’ll need to stop and rest), fashion (because every adventurer needs a stout cloak and a pair of sturdy boots), as well as a sundry of other topics.

It also covers faith, because in its deepest sense, the journey to sainthood is the closest thing we will ever get to a real, fate-of-the-world, life-or-death kind of adventure.

Mostly, this blog focuses on trying to find adventure in the everyday, the extraordinary in the ordinary, and the magical in the mundane.

Florals and Green

I’ve worn this particular outfit combo several times, so I’m not sure why it took me so long to write a post about it. I really love the out-doorsy, rugged vibe of my anorak coat and paddock boots, paired with this floral dress.

Speaking of floral dresses, isn’t this one just lovely? I got it from the Goodwill several years ago and it’s been a favorite ever since. It was one of those “looked really ugly on the hanger” dresses, but I saw it and thought I’d give it a shot. It is a little short for my taste. That’s why you see it here, worn with a thick pair of fleece leggings. In the summer time, when it’s too hot for leggings, I wear this dress with a lace trimmed skirt extender.
